Data Quality Tool Set - DQTS
Important Notice
EUROCONTROL, due to budgetary restrictions and having to prioritize its projects, is no longer in a position to continue DQTS Support. This means that any support of the tool will cease with effect from 31 May 2010.
Following 31 May 2010, licence holders will be entitled to continue to use DQTS for an indefinite period, in accordance with the licence agreement in place and subject to certain conditions.
Licence holders have received a letter containing this information. A copy should be signed and returned to the Help Desk by 31st May 2010. If the letter is not received by the Help Desk, the licence shall be deemed terminated and the licence holder shall refrain from any further use of DQTS.
If a licence holder has not yet activated his/her licence, it is recommended that they contact the Help Desk (helpdesk@dqts.net) to do so and to allow the maximum amount of time to consult the Help Desk support, should this be required.
For those interested, DQTS may be obtained until 31st May 2010 and subject to certain conditions. For more information, please contact the Help Desk (helpdesk@dqts.net).
About DQTS
DQTS is a set of software tools for assuring the quality of aeronautical navigation data.
The tool set was commissioned by EUROCONTROL, the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation.
The tool set includes:
- CRC Generation and Verification Tool
- Geodetic Datum Transformation Tool (Converts between a defined geodetic datum and a map projection; transforms between two defined geodetic datums)
- Join/Inverse Tool (Calculates bearing and distance along a geodetic line between given coordinates)
- Polar/Direct Tool (Calculates coordinates based upon bearing and distance along a geodetic line from given co-ordinates)
- Intersect Tool (Calculates coordinates at the intersection of two geodesics)
- Collinearity Tool (Calculates line of best fit, and residuals, from given set of points)
- Geolat Tool (Calculates points of intersection between a geodesic and up to 3 small circles; nearest approach distances of a geodesic to a point and geodesics tangential to a small circle)
- Checkloc Tool (Verifies that given coordinates lie within a defined geographical area)
- Geoborder Intersection Tool (Calculates intersection points between a geoborder and a circle or geodesic)
