Integrity of Aeronautical Information - Data Origination
Issue Description
The specification Integrity of Aeronautical Information - Data Origination sets out the minimum requirements for the origination of navigation-related data applying to all organisations involved in the data origination process. The requirements include the surveying of the geographical position of radio navigation aids and runway thresholds as well as calculation of waypoint coordinates, all of which contribute to air navigation.
It is intended to issue this specification as a stand-alone EUROCONTROL Specification for use by stakeholders.
An implementing rule on aeronautical data and information quality is currently being developed under the Single European Sky (SES) interoperability regulation and this has already identified this specification as possibly providing means of compliance to the rule. On completion of the implementing rule, it is likely that this specification, or parts of it, will be processed to become a Community Specification.
