EGNOS Data Collection Network

The EGNOS Signal-in-Space Validation (ESV) Task Force was established by the EUROCONTROL Navigation Domain to co-ordinate technical activities necessary to assess the performance achievable using a MOPS-compliant receiver in the ECAC area.

EGNOS performance monitoring is supported by the European Air Traffic Service Providers (ATSP) and six universities, geographically distributed around Europe. The actual achieved performance (accuracy, availability, integrity and continuity of service) in each location is assessed and any anomalies identified are analysed in detail to assess the cause, the probability of re-occurrence and possible mitigation techniques for the user.
